- Full Professor of Navigation and Transport Law at the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna, where he completed all the previous stages of his academic career and obtained a PhD in European Transport Law.
- He is a member of the Bologna Bar Association and a member of the Comité Maritime International, the Associazione Italiana di Diritto Marittimo (AIDIM) and the Associazione Italiana di Diritto della Navigazione e dei Trasporti (AIDINAT).
- He has a solid experience in advising national and international operators in the sectors of maritime, air and land (road and rail) transport and logistics, providing a broad spectrum of legal services, from drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, to assistance in litigation and insurance disputes, to support in relations with the competent Authorities.
- He has developed in-depth expertise in the world of yachting, offering legal advice and assistance to various categories of clients, including shipowners, shipyards, chartering and nautical leasing companies.
- He is the author of several monographs, countless articles and case comments published in prestigious national and foreign scientific journals and editor of various collective volumes. He is regularly invited as a speaker at national and international conferences, having more than 90 to his credit.
